There should be more to a mid-life crisis than a pot of tea...
Prudence, Caution, Deliberation.
The Hermit points to all things hidden, such as knowledge and inspiration, hidden enemies. The illumination is from within, and retirement from participation in current events.
The Hermit is a card of introspection, analysis and, well, virginity. You do not desire to socialize; the card indicates, instead, a desire for peace and solitude. You prefer to take the time to think, organize, ruminate, take stock. There may be feelings of frustration and discontent but these feelings eventually lead to enlightenment, illumination, clarity.
The Hermit represents a wise, inspirational person, friend, teacher, therapist. This a person who can shine a light on things that were previously mysterious and confusing.
I must have been doing the cat's shoelaces
when this lot came a-calling.

But honey think of the days abroad in the afternoon when one would have killed for a decent pot of tea.
Ta muchly, Savannah. Just feeling beleagured at the moment.
This is very true, Pat.
Don't feel you are alone.
What are you putting in the tea?
Change to gin
Ta Pat
Lulu: thankfully, even back when I was drinking I could never stomach gin. I've seen too many people get embarrassingly maudlin on gin! (-:
A male midlife crisis normally coincides with a doctor's finger in a place where the sun don't shine... Enjoy the tea x
Joanna: that's one of "those things they never tell you about at school." It's a terrible thing, they don't take you to the movies first or anything.
Have you tried a good knitting pattern? They can liven things up.
