Standing in the Co-op, buying a People's Friend and a tin of pineapple chunks, I'm bemused by the conversation behind me. A girl and two lads, all in dark "first accountancy suits." They were talking about the gossip mags on the rack, all boasting pictures of Abby Clancy, who is Nursing Heartache over Peter Crouch's Infidelity. Or as we used to call it: footballer's girlfriend pissed off at his dicking about.
"I mean," said the girl, "if you had a girlfriend like that would you go an sleep with a prostitute?""I dunno," said one of the lads, "she looks a bit ropey in that picture.""She's upset, she's not going to be looking her best.""Well, I dunno..."

Bet he was luke warm as well, not even worthy of an athlete's foot.
Sx
Yet again, a fabulous role model for our young men. They cheat, they hit people, they're rude, they can't keep their dicks off their phones or in their pants... and they get paid a fortune :(
But, worse still, they treat really pretty ladies like bits of dog poo, fuelling the growing culture of disrespect towards women. What hope for the rest of us vaguely average looking women?
Grrrr...
PS, I am reminded of a friend who frequents dating sites. Almost every man specifically requests tall and slim - no matter how short, fat and bald he might be.
Kevin!
I quoted something you wrote in an entry. I hope you don't mind. =)

p.s. I'm not terribly familiar with Brit slang, I had to research what ropey meant. =)
What can we do? Boys will be boys
Scarlet: he had that sort of flaky skin vibe about himself
Joanna: sadly, giving a young bloke a wad of money doesn't make him a wise one. Karma comes and bites them in their thirties.
("vaguely average looking women" - !)
Kane: thanks, I'm flattered by the association!
Fishing? Moi? Never! ;P
Joanna: (-;
Rhacodactylus: hello and welcome! I see this as being part of my boyish charm myself.
"a badly filled hot water bottle"... now that says it all doesn't it?
nursemyra: unfortunately, yes
