April fool

Ken Reid's delightful "Jonah." Back in the days when you got your money's worth from your comics.

A page of Jonah art from the Victor Comic, artist the late, great Ken Reid

God bless D.C.Thompson. And all who sail in her.

  2. Yes. I'm writing a day ahead to keep up the momentum.

  3. I have just been wandering in Dundee today and admired the big statue of Desperate Dan, coincidentally.

(Ashley with the Syncopated Eyeballs suggested I might like to visit you. We shall see...:)

  4. Don: Hello and welcome!

I've not been to Dundee since before they put the statue up. I may have to negotiate terms with the loved one.

  5. They've got Dawg and Minnie the Minx with catapult there too. Truly an attraction to rival The Louvre. And if that wasn't enough you can walk around Captain Scott's ship Discovery (his dining table and cabin gave me goosebumps) and HMS Unicorn, and... eh Dundee Law... and... that's about it really, but fine views of the Tay.
