Just after the hit radio show "The Burkiss Way" and before "Whoops Apocalypse," here we find Andrew Marshall and David Renwick writing the nice, genteel, drawing-room comedy that we just don't see any more...
It was "End of Part One," an LWT comedy series that ran on Sunday teatimes in the very early 80s. The sketches are a bit hit-and-miss but it was a brave effort.
I don't remember this show, Kevin, it's rather good, what was it called?
ReplyDeleteLoved the Nationwide spoof.
ReplyDeleteThat must be from the era that time forgot. It seems to have completely passed me by.

ReplyDeleteIt rings far off distant bells Kevin.
ReplyDeleteMy word, I have almost all of The Burkiss Way on audio tape and Whoops Apocalypse was one of my favourite films as a teenager.
ReplyDeleteExcellent choices sir :)
