Holiday for springs

I'm working my way through my turn with the office cold and being a bit miserable with it. OK, even more miserable. Even by my standards the bed is spectacularly unmade, the result of a poor night's sleep caused by a combination of bunged-up nose and frozen shoulder. All the dreams were about detective stories, which suggests there's something I need to remember. Which could be any one of a million things these days: going into the fridge yesterday to pick up the piece of pork I'd bought my parents I found a carrier bag with a book in it. You can guess the rest...

Breakfast was probably a bit heavy on the garlic and chili. Well, very heavy on the garlic and chili, but I'm not planning on kissing anybody today. Or this year at all if the past few months are anything to go by.

My God, it's cold today. We were discussing this the other day: is it just a male thing to switch off the central heating once we reach British Summer Time?

I keep my heating on all year and rely on the thermostat! (But then I'm female.)

I do hope your cold clears up soon. They're utterly miserable and don't draw much sympathy.

We've got electric blanket, central heating and Aga going full blast. MTL feels the cold much more these days.
I so feel your frozen shoulder. Mine isn't frozen and is getting better - so take heart. I'm just about to have a sauvignon as a change from my eternal kir. Why not join me and I send you a big cyber kiss.xoxox

Sorry about the cold, but a big cyber kiss from Pat should work wonders.

I'm wondering if the book in the fridge was a chilling mystery.

I suppose the fate of the pork is dependent upon whether it was a library book or not :-)

Me too. Colds in May are just rubbish. Can we have our summer back please mister?

Frozen shoulder! Ow, ow, ow! I've had that on both sides. First the left side which was bad enough and then the right side which was excruciatingly painful. I had a hydrodilatation (saline solution injected into the joint to open it up and maybe break off some of the adhesions) and though I had a vasovagal reaction on the first attempt, it was well worth going back for a second attempt. Good luck!

fairyhedgehog: Yup, a girl thing. (-:

Ta for the sympathy.

Pat: he only does it for you, Pat, I expect the poor lad's sweltering really. An eternal kir sounds like a fine thing.

Charlie: I only lurch into these bathetic phases to get attention from nice women.

Gadjo: it wasn't, thank God! I've told you the rasher of bacon in the library book story, haven't I?

Gaw: hopeless aren't they? Our office sounds like La Dame Aux Camellias this week.

eyeball: eek! No, there is nothing wrong with my shoulder, nothing at all. Look: I can move it round and everything. (-;
